Southern Dalmatia offers a perfect blend of medieval cities, pine-covered islands, and clear Adriatic waters. The coastline is deeply indented, creating sheltered anchorages, calm cruising conditions, and short distances between highlights. A private yacht charter here allows you to move effortlessly between UNESCO-listed towns, national parks, and quiet coves that feel far removed from summer crowds.

This sample 7-night itinerary captures the rhythm of a Southern Dalmatia yacht charter, balancing exploration ashore with relaxed days anchored in turquoise bays.

Day 1: Dubrovnik – Embarkation & Elafiti Islands

Board your yacht in Dubrovnik and cruise toward the nearby Elafiti Islands. After settling in, anchor off Šipan or Lopud for your first swim in crystal-clear water. In the evening, enjoy dinner onboard or go ashore to a small waterfront restaurant in a quiet fishing village.

Day 2: Mljet National Park – Lakes & Forest

Cruise south to Mljet, one of Croatia’s greenest islands. Within Mljet National Park, explore saltwater lakes surrounded by pine forest. Kayak across calm waters or cycle shaded trails. Anchor in a peaceful bay for a quiet evening immersed in nature.

Day 3: Korčula – Medieval Charm

Arrive in Korčula, often referred to as a smaller Dubrovnik. Its fortified old town rises above the harbor, filled with narrow stone streets and lively squares. Explore historic landmarks, boutique shops, and local wineries before returning to your yacht for sunset views from anchor.

Day 4: Lastovo – Remote & Untouched

Cruise to Lastovo, one of Croatia’s most remote and protected islands. Known for its quiet anchorages and clear water, this island feels far less visited than others in the region. Swim, snorkel, or paddleboard in calm bays surrounded by unspoiled nature. Evenings here are serene and starlit.

Day 5: Hvar – Energy & Elegance

Head north toward Hvar, one of the Adriatic’s most famous islands. The town’s historic harbor is lively, with elegant restaurants and a vibrant social atmosphere. Guests can explore hilltop fortresses for panoramic views or enjoy beach clubs along the coast. Anchor just outside the harbor for a balance of energy and privacy.

Day 6: Pakleni Islands – Turquoise Anchorages

Just off Hvar lie the Pakleni Islands, a collection of small islets known for shallow, transparent water and secluded bays. Spend the day swimming, relaxing on deck, and enjoying water sports in protected anchorages. This area is ideal for a slow, unhurried afternoon.

Day 7: Return Toward Dubrovnik – Coastal Cruising

Begin your journey back south, stopping along the way for swim breaks in hidden coves. Enjoy a final relaxed afternoon on the water before anchoring near Dubrovnik for a farewell dinner onboard.

Day 8: Dubrovnik – Disembarkation

After breakfast, return to port in Dubrovnik. Many guests choose to extend their stay to explore the city’s historic walls, museums, and coastline from land before departing Croatia.
