The Southern Caribbean offers a striking blend of French sophistication, dramatic volcanic peaks, and lush rainforest landscapes. Cruising between Martinique, Dominica, and St. Lucia creates a journey defined by contrast. Refined beach clubs give way to untouched jungle rivers. Quiet anchorages sit beneath towering Pitons. Waterfalls and hot springs are only a short tender ride away.

This sample 7-night itinerary captures the rhythm of a yacht charter through these three distinctive islands.

Day 1: Martinique – Embarkation & Sainte-Anne

Board your yacht in Martinique and cruise along the island’s southern coastline. Anchor near Sainte-Anne, known for calm turquoise water and soft white sand beaches.

Spend the afternoon swimming and settling into life onboard. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner ashore at a French-Caribbean restaurant or dine alfresco on deck as the trade winds drift across the bay.

Day 2: Martinique – Les Anses-d’Arlet & Mount Pelée Views

Cruise north along Martinique’s western coast toward Les Anses-d’Arlet, a charming fishing village with a picturesque waterfront church and clear snorkeling waters.

The island’s French influence is evident in its cuisine and culture. Guests may choose to explore inland markets or enjoy a wine-forward lunch ashore before returning to the yacht. As you continue north, Mount Pelée rises dramatically above the coastline, offering a striking volcanic backdrop.

Day 3: Crossing to Dominica – The Nature Island

Today, cruise south toward Dominica, often referred to as the Nature Island of the Caribbean. The landscape shifts dramatically as steep, rainforest-covered mountains descend directly into deep blue water.

Anchor near Portsmouth or along the island’s calm northwestern coast. The sense of remoteness and lushness is immediate and immersive.

Day 4: Dominica – Rainforest & Waterfalls

Dominica is defined by its raw beauty. Spend the day exploring inland with a guided excursion to waterfalls, hot springs, or the edge of the Morne Trois Pitons National Park.

Back onboard, enjoy swimming in deep, clear anchorages framed by jungle-covered cliffs. Evenings here feel quiet and restorative, surrounded by nature.

Day 5: Dominica to St. Lucia – Dramatic Arrival

Cruise south to St. Lucia. The approach is unforgettable as the Pitons come into view, rising sharply from the sea.

Anchor near Soufrière beneath the towering volcanic peaks. Spend the afternoon swimming in calm waters or visiting sulfur springs and botanical gardens ashore.

Day 6: St. Lucia – The Pitons & Marigot Bay

Wake to views of Gros Piton and Petit Piton before cruising north along St. Lucia’s west coast. Marigot Bay offers one of the most protected and picturesque anchorages in the Caribbean.

Relax onboard, paddleboard in calm water, or enjoy a refined dinner ashore at one of the bay’s waterfront restaurants.

Day 7: Rodney Bay & Farewell Evening

Continue north to Rodney Bay, known for its expansive beaches and lively marina. Spend your final day swimming, enjoying water sports, or visiting Pigeon Island for panoramic coastal views.

Celebrate your final evening onboard with a sunset dinner overlooking the northern tip of St. Lucia.

Day 8: Disembarkation

After breakfast, disembark in St. Lucia or Martinique, depending on your chosen route. Many guests extend their stay at a luxury resort or continue exploring the Caribbean.
