The French Riviera has long been synonymous with effortless glamour, sun-drenched coastlines, and refined Mediterranean living. From the pastel streets of Villefranche to the legendary harbors of Monaco and Saint-Tropez, this stretch of coastline blends iconic destinations with hidden coves accessible only by yacht.

A private yacht charter along the Côte d’Azur allows you to experience the Riviera at your own pace. Mornings begin in quiet anchorages, afternoons unfold in vibrant seaside towns, and evenings are spent dining under the stars with the lights of the coastline shimmering in the distance.

This sample 7-night itinerary offers a glimpse into what a week on the French Riviera can look like.

Day 1: Nice – Embarkation & Villefranche-sur-Mer

Board your yacht in Nice and cruise a short distance to the sheltered bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer. Swim in calm, clear waters beneath colorful hillside homes. Stroll the charming old town before returning onboard for a relaxed first evening at anchor.

Day 2: Monaco – Glamour & Coastal Cruising

Cruise east toward Monaco, passing Cap Ferrat’s dramatic villas and rugged cliffs. Spend the day exploring Monte Carlo, visiting the Prince’s Palace, or enjoying waterfront dining in Port Hercule. In the evening, anchor nearby or remain docked to experience Monaco’s vibrant nightlife.

Day 3: Cap d’Antibes – Secluded Coves

Cruise west along the coast to Cap d’Antibes. Anchor off Plage de la Garoupe or in one of the peninsula’s quieter coves. Swim, paddleboard, or simply relax on deck. The afternoon can include a visit to Antibes’ old town, known for its markets, galleries, and relaxed elegance.

Day 4: Cannes – Culture & Iconic Coastline

Arrive in Cannes, home of the famous film festival. Walk along La Croisette, browse designer boutiques, or enjoy lunch at a beach club. In the afternoon, cruise to the nearby Lérins Islands for swimming in turquoise waters and exploring historic monasteries.

Day 5: Saint-Tropez – Riviera Energy

Cruise to Saint-Tropez, one of the Riviera’s most legendary destinations. Spend the day exploring the old port, boutique shops, and Provençal markets. For those seeking energy, beach clubs offer a lively atmosphere. Alternatively, anchor just outside the harbor for a more peaceful evening onboard.

Day 6: Porquerolles – Natural Beauty

Head toward the Îles d’Hyères, including Porquerolles, known for white sand beaches and protected nature reserves. This is a quieter, more natural side of the Riviera. Swim in crystal-clear water or explore the island by bicycle.

Day 7: Return to Cap Ferrat – Farewell Dinner

Cruise back toward Cap Ferrat, enjoying a final afternoon swim in one of its sheltered bays. Spend your last evening onboard with a sunset dinner overlooking the glittering coastline.

Day 8: Nice – Disembarkation

After breakfast, return to Nice for disembarkation. Many guests choose to extend their time in the South of France, pairing their yacht charter with a stay in Provence or along the Italian Riviera.
