International Women’s Day is a moment to reflect, celebrate, and look forward. In an industry historically led by men, we are proud to see more women stepping confidently into leadership roles, and we are especially proud to support and work alongside them.
The Charter Yacht Company was founded by Jessica Perraton, a former yacht crew member who experienced firsthand the power of strong leadership onboard. TCYC was built not just on expertise, but on the belief that guidance should be genuine, supportive, and rooted in real industry knowledge. As a female-founded company, empowering women in yachting isn’t a marketing initiative, it’s personal.
Behind the scenes at TCYC, women continue to play a vital role in our success every single day. Molly Mulder, our charter broker, brings passion, dedication, and thoughtful care to every client experience. Francisca Pulit, our marketing manager, ensures our voice and vision are shared with authenticity and intention. Together, we are proud to be a women-led team helping families and friends create extraordinary experiences at sea.
But today, we especially want to celebrate the women at the helm.
All-Female Crews Leading the Way
There is something incredibly powerful about stepping onboard a yacht and being welcomed by a fully female crew, confident, capable, and exceptionally professional.
Catamaran Andiamo: Captain Milla-Emilia Makela leads with strength and expertise, holding her RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Commercial endorsement. Alongside Chef Molly Brookfield-Paul, this dynamic duo delivers seamless, elevated charter experiences with warmth and precision.
Catamaran Harmony: Captain Brooke Johnson, also RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Commercially Endorsed, commands Harmony with skill and confidence. Paired with Chef Kate Brittain, this all-female team creates an onboard atmosphere that is both refined and welcoming.
Yacht TiAmo: Captain Helene Dritsa leads TiAmo with poise and deep local knowledge. Together with Cook Iliana Driva, this exceptional female crew showcases the strength, professionalism, and talent that women bring to the Mediterranean yachting scene.
These crews are not defined by their gender, they are defined by their professionalism, experience, and ability to create unforgettable charter experiences. But seeing women confidently at the helm sends an important message: the industry is evolving.
Shoutout to Outstanding Female Captains
We also want to recognize incredible female captains leading award-winning yachts around the world — including Adriana Vega, Captain of the yacht Hourglass. Women like Adriana continue to raise the bar in the luxury yacht charter industry, demonstrating that excellence, leadership, and authority at sea know no gender.
Looking Ahead
While we are proud of the women leading yachts today, we also know there is still progress to be made. We would love to see the number of female captains continue to grow year after year. The ocean has room for all leaders, and representation matters.
At The Charter Yacht Company, we will always champion talent, integrity, and excellence. And we will continue to support the women who are shaping the future of yachting, from the galley to the helm, and everywhere in between.
This International Women’s Day, we celebrate strength, expertise, and the courage to lead.
And tomorrow, we continue the work.
